back to basics: boyfriend jeans

how to wear / what to wear / where to wear

I'm excited to finally announce that one of my latest projects I've been working on is a collaboration with UNIQLO for their Denim Campaign.

The boyfriend jean is a style of denim that sits loose on the waist, and is a relaxed fit that just screams comfort and style. I'm definitely usually more of a high-waisted-skinnies-wearer, but lately I've been loving how comfortable BF jeans can be.  My jeans collection is also majority distressed denim, so it was actually nice to own a pair that didn't have rips all over them.

When asked to style these extremely comfortable UNIQLO boyfriend jeans, I decided to put three different outfits together.

one: classic cut

Opt for a white button up shirt and black oxfords to channel a more 'classic' and 'clean' look.
This first look is perfect for days you don't quite feel like black trousers, but still want to look presentable, yet comfortable, for a day out in the city.

two: errands day

UNIQLO boyfriend jeans / STRANGELANE striped turtleneck / BOOHOO bomber jacket / TOPSHOP lace-up flats / KOOKAI grey wide-brim hat

This next look is perfect for day of errands where lots of walking is involved, or even lounging around for a fun and relaxed day playing boardgames at a friend's apartment. Bring along a casual jacket or cardigan for when it might get chilly in the evening.

three: casual comfort

This third and final outfit is definitely for one of those days you want to prioritise maximum comfort, but still want to look put together. Grab your oversized slouchy jumper and sneakers for more of a tomboy look.

I had so much fun shooting and styling these jeans, and I hope you all got some inspiration too :)
